Sabre-toothed Tiger

Sabre-toothed tigers are amongs the largest cats in all the world, often standing more than six feet at the shoulder. They are powerfully muscled creatures, capable of moving quickly and delivering mighty blows with their front paws. The most distinctive features of these tigers are their overgrown canine teeth. Up to nine inches long, these teeth hang over the tiger's bottom lip in a fearsome ivory curve. These teeth can inflict the most horrendous damage as they rip through the flesh of the tiger's prey.

Norsemen have long ago realized awesome power that lies behind sharp claws and curved dagger-teeth of these largest of cats. Several heroes and shamans have managed to capture or rescue infant Sabre-tooth tigers and nurture them to maturity. Once fully grown, Sabre-toothed tigers remain fiercely loyal to the ones who raised them and often accompany them on long hunting trips and to the battle. Some heroes even choose to ride these large carnivores, as charge of the roaring Sabretooth can scatter even the toughest units.

Special rules:

  • MASSIVE CANINES - Great fangs of Sabre-toothed tigers are capable of rendering armor apart. To represent that there is an aditional -1 penalty to saving throws against Sabretooth's attacks (so there is a -3 modifier to saving throws).
