10/30/2003 Well I said I'd be back in October and it's still October :p I got 5 auctions up, a few less than I had planned but photos on couple minis kept coming out darker than I would like, and since I don't use software to touch up pics I gotta get them as close to actual mini as possible... :)

10/13/2003 I bought some new plastic, prepainted DnD miniatures to see if I can repaint them to look little better. I did Sword of Heironeus as an example. Here you can see how it looked originally.
09/04/2003 Well I've been away for a while, but starting sometime in October, after I finish moving to my new place, I should be back with some auctions (my armies need sponsoring :p ). 10/14/2001 - Um, I am on a break (obviously :) Playing DAoC and painting my snotlings. If you want to be notified when I start painting again just send me an email and I'll put you on notify list (one time email when I come back, not spam list lol :)
In other news some nolifer (prolly same one that did it to me) has been harassing painters on eBay. 3 different people had their artwork pulled off because miniature had bare breasts. Needless to say eBay customer service leaves something to be desired. Plus they have a rule that nude artwork is ok (when similar thing happened to me I actually went through all their obscure rules). So if you care shoot to have some minis without top on an email to eBay CS or we'll have to list them in mature categhory with porn and blow up dolls. ;)
09/14/2001 - No miniatures this week, I think we all had more on our minds than painting/selling minis. But since I said I'll have something so some people might check, here's something that might be of interest. It's miniature display shelf I built for myself few months ago since 1) I don't see them being sold 2) few I saw that I liked were very (VERY) expensive. This cost me about $80 for all the materials, including all mistakes I did :) Glass was about $45 for 5 sanded shelves, remember to buy quarter inch thick glass so it doesn't bend. And shop around, first place I went to quoted me $110 for same glass shelves.

07/26/2001 - Over the last month I purchased some minis to paint from 4 less known
companies so here are short reviews:
Crocodile Games - Wargods: This is Charles Fitzpatrick's (guy that did GWS Dark Elf line and lotsa other stuff) new project (well somehow new since some minis have 1997 tag :) Some minis needed some cleaning but overall beautiful models as expected from Fitz. Few are on auction this week and I hope to have 2 more per week for several weeks.
Rackham - Confronation: French company that seems all the rage in painting circles nowdays. Very nice miniatures tho little bigger than standard (40mm scale I think). Didn't require too much cleaning and parts fitted in nicely. I had several for sale so far, with bulk of my order arriving in next few days.
Fenryll: Another French company with beautiful models. I especially like their female minis so I concentrated on those. Check out Amazon crouched on head of a giant she just killed, what a great sculpting job. One complaint tho - they're made of resin. UGH! Resin is brittle and breaks easy if bent, it's hard to clean and makes mini too light. They can't be doing it to cut cost since minis cost as much as metal ones. Well maybe to cut their costs hehe.
Demonworld: German company that makes nice 15mm minis for their large scale wargame. Very nice minis with minimal cleaning work needed and nice packaging. I got some goblins from them, not for sale but as conversions for my Snotling army, and I must say once I finish painting Snotling War Tower mounted on giant spider, it's gonna look awesome! :)
I also got a large shipment of old favorite, Reaper, so I have stuff to paint for a while.
07/22/2001 - Well, now that 2 sets of auctions ended, it seems worst is behind us. I'd like to thank all the customers, visitors to this page and no less than 6 other eBay painters that sent me emails of support. Thanks guys! :)
07/12/2001 - I relisted all 10 auctions (note that they end on Tuesday instead of Sunday as they normally do) and added 9 more for this week's. As 2 of them had uncovered breasts I figured Carly, the poster boy for communism, will try to get eBay to cancel all my auctions over some obscure moral issue that disallows nude artwork. So I covered their breasts with black stripes and you can see their uncensored pics here:

07/12/2001 - Yey, got delisted again. Thanks for all emails of support :) On the positive side I got a tip that he did same thing to another painter (which makes his dumb tirade about American Flag bikinis more ridiculous) so after we get in touch we'll have more of a case to go with. I will relist auctions tonight.

07/10/2001 - I guess one of the happy competitor painters didn't appreciate me getting an early start with Dark Elf and Albion miniatures and all my auctions were pulled by eBay abuse troll tonight. Reason given was that one title for Reaper mini which can be used for Warhammer or D&D contained words Reaper, Warhammer and D&D. I've been member of eBay and held their stock for way too long to put up with that BS so I sent a mean letter back to "Roscoe" ended@ebay.com. I asked that he teach me about proper ways to list minis since he's an expert :)
Anyways, I apologize to people that were high bidders and I will relist those auctions this Thursday. If you liked what you saw come back for it. I guess there will be lotsa auctions this Thursday. I'll move minis canceled by abusive eBay troll to Pipeline till then.

07/04/2001 - Games Day was fun as usual :) I'll have about 30 pics on here eventually (mostly golden demon minis and some tables). They didn't let us take pics of upcoming releases this year :/ but there was lotsa great High Elves and Dark elf minis. New Tyrion model is amazing, even tho it was sculpted by G. Moreley (sp? :) Lord of the Ring minis were ok, not too many poses, and they definitelly weren't painted by GWS studio painters ;) They also had those new 40K models, Tau and Kroot. Kroot look great and might just make me start a 40K army (sacrilige!) I bought about 15 Kroot Shapers from people so I'll be having those for sale once in a while over next year or 3. Also picked up Albion characters and new Dark Elves so lineup for this Thursday looks like Kroot Shooter, 3 Albion special characters and Dark Elf Corsair Command (plus Reaper minis from pipeline). I hope to paint up DE bolt thrower and Witch Elf command for next week. So auctions might be bit Citadel heavy for next few weeks till my shipments of Reaper, Fenryl and Confrontation minis arrive.

05/10/2001 - Well, I've been doing some large scale painting lately (room walls to be exact :) and I'll be moving to new house this weekend so if your email about auction is not answered as fast as normal that would be why. I don't expect to be offline at all since one computer will be working in old apartment till I'm done moving but just a fair warning. Might have fewer auctions next Thursday because of it too (I gotta set up my painting table and supplies again :)

05/03/2001 - I'm usually pretty good at IDing old minis but these 2 WFB pieces are giving me problems. One is Elven? looking fellow by Marauder. His base says THE [something]. Other one is beastman looking guy with base that says GNAR and I it looks like it was sculped by Nick Lund (just a guess :) Any help out there? Here are pics:
04/30/2001 - I noticed that Post Office raised their insurance rates for packages (yea, I know they did it a while back, but I just noticed :p ) so I raised them too (from 80 cents to $1.10 per $50 insured).

04/22/2001 - Auctions will be starting on Thursdays and ending on Sundays from now on. Also I got this link in email, it's a page dedicated to Citadel dwarf minis, a great collection of dwarfs from 80s to present. Now if only someone would make similar page for Chaos... :p

04/08/2001 - Since Ebay came up with Buy It Now feature since I had last auction, I might try using this. Also if there are any minis in Pipeline section I'll have their Buy It Now price with them, so you can pick them up before auction starts. If you do that S&H is free (since I save on Ebay auction fees).
04/05/2001 - I put few pics of upcoming minis in Pipeline section (incidentally, a full year of taking miniature scans and they still suck :/ ), they'll go on auction block next Wednesday. Trying to finally clear all the magic:TG cards on ebay right now so if you're into that check them out. :)
03/24/2001 - *strech* :) Damn, that was a nice long winter sleep! Now I might paint some more over the summer. Few things: URL is now www.bastaic.com instead of freyason.simplenet.com - subdirectory structure is same. I shortened news page for faster load (I've had DSL for past 3 years so I forgot modem pains :P ) If you want to see any old news again just follow "Old News" link at the bottom of this page. Hmm, what else... Ah, I also painted some comission pieces in last few months. I concluded I hate doing comission work, it makes painting seem like a job instead of a hobby and takes me FOREEEEEEEEVER to do. So I won't be doing any more. 10/10/2000 - I decided to take a break from painting for several weeks. I've been doing this for almost 6 months so I need it :) I will use this time to finish few comission paint jobs I have, paint some of my own stuff and things like that. Baring unforseen circumstances auctions should continue in November (hopefully 11/1). Check Pipeline section once in a while, I might add few things to it before November.

8/22/2000 - Minis look so different when they're photographed, as opposed to scanned. Here's a photo of some of Norse lineup that's on sale/in pipeline these days. Guess you can't see it on scan, but on photo you can see eyes on each mini even tho there's 10 of them in pic. Bondsmen to the left, berserkr in middle, huscarls to the right.
8/21/2000 - I recently painted one of dozen or so horsemen that serve as mounted marauders / Norse barbarian cavalry in my armies and was wondering if anyone has any extra for sale. I am looking for grenadier Olog Hai (sp?) cavalry, barbarian cavalry (and chariot) by I think Mark Copplestone (looks like his work). These were never listed in any Grenadier catalog that I'm aware of. Click on thumbnail to see bigger pic.
8/2/2000 - Thanks to everyone who helped me figure out where slave girls are from. They are Asdrubael Vect's slaves from his ship "prisoner" and "slave." I don't play 40k so I couldn't figure it out. I guess if I want to paint more I have to order from mail order with their crazy shipping prices. Also someone told me there was a limited studio only run of 30 topless versions of these minis, those ultra rare ones can be found at Stuff of Legend site (or just go here. I might try converting them to topless.

7/3/2000 - I took about 3 rolls of film at Games Day so hopefully I'll have some nice pics to post soon. Give me a week or two :) I painted up one of limited edition Black Orcs I bought, you can see it here and here. He goes on auction 7/5. Several unopened ones are on auction now so get them while you can. UPDATE: uhm never mind, I put him up on auction today, I wanted to be first painter to offer one :)
6/29/2000 - Time for a new format. From now on all auctions will be starting on Wednesday evenings. If I finish minis before then I will probably place them in Pipeline section and then on auction that Wednesday. It just makes it easier for me to deal with listing all auctions at once and finishing them all at once too :)
6/19/2000 - I just put up some Warmaster Chaos characters on auction. I am really proud of detail and bases for these, only bad part is I'll have to redo them if I make Chaos army for Warmaster =)

5/21/2000 - OMG, You haven't used a scanner till you tried to scan a Warmaster High Elf dragon. Not only is a damn mini pretty big, but with spread wings it's hard as Hel to get a focus on all parts of it. I think I did as good job as is humanely possible with scanner, check it out here. Of course, I could always make use of $700 worth of camera equipment I have sitting here, but who wants to wait for photos to develope :P Also, following the success of Reaper Week 1, there's Reaper Week 2 coming up next week.

5/2/2000 - S&H is now $1.95 in almost all cases.
4/22/2000 - Models currently scheduled for Undead Week: vampire on foot, 2 wraiths, mummy, mounted vampire lord, necromancer, mounted blood dragon vampire, mounted necrarch vampire, Manfred Von Carstein and doom wolf. Likely also a 5 zombies and 5 skeletons sets (leader, standard, musician, 2 troopers) so that your front line can look nice :) Some undead pics are already in Pipeline section so check them out. I have a Skaven week coming after that with 6 OOP jezzails, 2 OOP warp fire throwers, plague priest and skaven tamer with 3 rats. Bretonnian Week (if there's one) will probably have mounted sorceress, Repanse, hero on pegasus and maybe few other. And I'll be filling holes between these sets with various other minis.
4/19/2000 - I'll have Undead Week sometime in May when 5-10 Undead models will go on sale during same week so multiple auction winners can save on shipping. Some of undead minis are already in pipeline.
